K181 12/05/22 2:24:10 PM #11:	In the United States, it is illegal to fire someone for joining a union or attempting to form a union. That being said, in most states employers are free to fire you for basically any other work-related reason, so they can fire you for that as long as they claim in communications with you that it's for a different reason.
