i get electric shedinja with air balloon, but why sunny day?

It's shedinja banned and the set uses sunny day not sunny day itself being banned. Smogon people like to sniff their own farts and not do "complex bans" 99% of the time. So for example in shedinja's case it's only really tera electric that's the issue as it changes its type to electric which has 1 weakness. Give it air balloon and that weakness is gone, and if you suspect a ttar or hippowdon switch in you use Sunny day to save yourself from the sand. When a mon switches in their weather ability goes before any other move so sunny day will go 2nd and override it. Now smogon could've just banned Electric Shedinja on their battle sim (they have the ability to do that) but they'd rather just ban a whole mon entirely. Very similar case for houndstone getting banned. The issue with houndstone is the move Last Respects which is a stupid strong move but without it houndstone would be pretty lackluster and not see play for the most part. Well instead of banning the move they banned the whole mon. They may reverse this decision when Basculegion is introduced with transfer support as of now in the data it'll get that move too.
