NHL was 15,841.this is misleading because soccer plays on an nfl type schedule once a week whereas the nba and nhl play several games a week. hockey audiences get double/triple dipped with diminishing returns and soccer benefits from drawing one massive crowd for one game per week. MLS regular season National games averaged 2.2 million viewers on FOX. NBA averaged 1.6 million.
