That's very poor foresight and inconsiderate. There are other compromises that can be made. The two of you can buy a couple air filters and put them in the rooms she spends the most time in. Along with vacuuming it does make a difference. The bedroom could also have the door closed. --- There are a ton of misconceptions about recycling.
