People aren't going to pay thirty bucks to go see a gripping historical drama, a gay romcom, or some brilliantly made auteur flick. I fucking love Pulp Fiction, but I'm not sure even it would fill seats at a theater nowadays. People go to the theaters to see blockbusters.
