As for Fairy Godmother Tycoon it was indeed surprisingly deep, with limited amount of money so you had to be smart in choosing which items stock. Then during the selling phase, it's real time, with the customers walking around town and you can choose where to put your promotional guys (like sandwich board imps, etc.) to divert the traffic.
