This scene tells us so much about where Rue is. I just love how dark it is, and how the fire is initially between Jules and Rue. An angel descends to Hell to see how a fallen friend is faring.
And both Hunter Schafer and Zendaya knock this out of the park. The former is tentative, curious, yet concerned. Rue is bitter and high, and isn't eager to talk to Jules: she mumbles in short sentences, but Jules is insistent, but in the end, she tells Jules what Jules must have guessed: that she started using again "the night you left". Jules' pained expression sells it: after this, she gets up and walks away.
