What a fun question!

Honestly kind of impossible to answer since they were all tremendously important to the evolution of scientific understanding but of those on the list, I'd still probably go with Newton since he's hands down the most influential, his work having inspired and/or directly impacted more than half of the other options on the list.

Obviously there are only 10 available options but I really think Marie Curie and Nikola Tesla both belong in the conversation. Carl Linnaeus and Ibn Sina as well (the latter barely qualifies but given his date of death, he makes the cut by about 15 years).

Edit: just noticed that there are only 9 options instead of the usual 10. Curious.
