It's because they 'specifically' bring in a large amount of money and can negotiate to get paid in 'insane rates' There are countless examples of this in media. There is no comparison for this when it comes to a plumber. You're not making a profit from the plumbing they fixed years from now. I have had no problem with people who get paid insane rates. I had a problem with the idea this particular person clearly DESERVED to get paid EVEN MORE than the rate thats ALREADY 100 times more than I make an hour (which is fine due to the nature of their work), because she might not work for 9 months.
