There's this couple that I see at the gym fairly regularly. They've always seemed pretty happy around one another from what I can tell. Happy couple that likes exercising together. The guy, in particular, comes off as a pretty charming/likeable dude whenever he talks to me or anyone else.

Today, there wasn't a lot of people around, and I guess they didn't realize I was nearby because they were going at it. She asked him a pretty innocuous question and the dude just went off -- he gets in her face and called her a "Dipshit," said she was "dumber than she looks," accused her of being "hella disrespectful" for not bringing him a cookie.
She just retreats in the bathroom and doesn't come out for a while. The next time I see her, she's sitting defeated, watching her boyfriend go hard on some weights.

Obviously, it's none of my business. But damn, man. You just hate to see stuff like that.
