i'm half Italian on my mother's side. both sides of her family tree have a great history that has influenced my culinary repertoire. from my grandfather, i get a great cheesecake recipe that is a hybrid of New York style and traditional Italian style. from my grandmother and great grandmother i get an authentic Italian recipe for marinara sauce and meatballs. as it just so happens, the latter is what i made for dinner tonight too, with some whole wheat spaghetti and some herb and cheese garlic bread:

i love my Italian heritage. it's a big part of who i am and a big influence on what i cook and like to eat.

Right it has had a huge influence on how I cook basically everything

Edit: Would eat!! Though I probably would have gone more angle hair!
~There are people who don't know how to cook Spaghetti.
But ya, I am hard pressed to not add Tomatoes, Basil, Garlic, Olive Oil as well as others into the mix.

The fact that it is a healthy diet makes it even better.
