When I was a kid I was kind of afraid of spiders, and there was a big ass spider on the playground. All the kids dared me to pick it up, I REALLY didn't want to, but I wasn't about to look like a bitch in front of everyone so I stuffed my fear down, basically like held my breath, and picked the spider up. Shockingly to a bunch of dumb ass kids, the spider didn't turn into a ravenous beast and was just chill as fuck crawling on my hand.

I picked up spiders more and more as a kid, usually to let them outside or just if I saw a chill lookin one outside. I never got bit a single time and just kind of realized that that is literally nothing to be afraid of. 70% of the time they just chill walk on you. The other 30% they are just dashing to get off of you, which is fine too. Fuck spider killers.
