Except for the fact she used to be powerful sorcerer Shang Tsung, who after getting his ass kicked by Liu Kang for like the 44th time, decided to give up the whole evil sorcerer lark, go back to Earth, stop collecting souls and live out a mortal life as a woman. Calling herself Shanya Younge, she's completely open and honest about her past but considers it to be just that, the past, another life. She looks at it the same way you might look at your father's life.
