You can cheese the FE6 arena with ~~support bonuses~~. Though I don't think even that can truly protect Saul from +30 crit Swordmasters. If Thany/Tate have gained more levels than Sue/Shin, you go to Ilia instead of Sacae. Since it's full of derpy burdened Peg Knights instead of fast accurate ranged Nomads with +10 crit Short Bows, it is generally considered to be much easier.
