Like, take the soundtrack to the 2003 Daredevil film: 20 songs by 19 different artists. Allegedly that album is the first time any of those songs were released (Evanescence's debut album would be released a month later) so technically they're all new songs... but putting aside the length, would a chaotic mash of 19 different artists be in the spirit of the topic?
