The Fairylogue and Radio-Plays. The first movie adaptation of The Wizard Oz. It was 120 minutes long AND hand colored, which is insane for a movie from 1908. It was also meant to be shown with live actors. It was too ambitious and a financial disaster since it SOLD OUT all shows yet still LOST MONEY.

Speaking of The Wizard of Oz, there's also the jitterbug scene. It was cut because the jitterbug dance had just been invented and the producers didn't want the movie to become dated. There's still a line of dialogue in the finished film where the Wicked Witch says she's sent an insect ahead to take some of the fight out of Dorothy and her friends.
