Or many of the other things that people could often change if they wanted to. Many people in religions are often indoctrinated from birth. Again not a fair comparison. Obesity is also not always under control. A lot of people actually do have a medical condition that "makes them fat" it's just that the medical condition is probably depression and people don't like talking about it or admitting that their mental issues are making them have unhealthy habits.
