We are acutely aware in the modern era the power that Cults of Personality can have over a population--Enough, at least, to move mountains literally. Look at Pope John Paul, Donald Trump, Joel Osteen, Putin, Mao Zedong, ect. I'm sure there were plenty of delusional people back in the day, as there are now, claiming to know the truth of God and the nature of reality. Very few of them were charismatic and convincing enough to sway the minds of man, however. --- 'Cause you know that I have no fear, ain't gonna walk into the river and disappear.
