Who knows, maybe the wife was cheating that the husband decided to keep hidden, or it was a sexless, unhappy marriage they were keeping on life support for whatever reason. Cheating doesn't happen out of nowhere, there's usually a long leadup to it. If a hottie was throwing pootang your way and your relationship with your current partner isn't fulfilliing you, I can see why someone may cheat.
