I don't feel that Rollins is overlooked at all because he's had a pretty good run as "the guy" and anyone who watches knows how good he is.

I think the same was equally true for Macho Man, hell maybe even more so because despite always being certifiably "second" to Hogan in terms of booking, Savage was arguably as big of a cultural icon. He was certainly held in much better regard than Hogan before his death and the latter's public private controversy.

So no, I don't think there's a comparison because both were/are held as top stars despite not getting as much focus with the title as their kayfabe BFFs turned hated rivals.
