Topic	Why isnt anything being set after the sequels in star wars?

There's constant crossovers, references, settings impacted by events of the previous films/shows. IX didn't leave the Star Wars universe in a state where anything of note or interest to draw fans in without going the route of "Somehow Palpatine returned" --- The name is wackyteen for a reason.
