Topic | what did you think of mario odyssey? |
WalkingLobsters 09/23/22 12:48:15 AM #1: | it didn't really feel like preceding 3d marios. For one it didn't have a lasting impression. While levels were designed well, it wasn't like other mario games where repeated visits to a level change the level in subtle ways; kinda like the world is evolving alongside you. The kirby gimmick where mario absorbs powers is neat, but because there were so many, a lot of them just came and went in addition, it also felt more like a collection of mini games or mini puzzles. Almost every few steps mario takes is another opportunity to find a moon unique to that location. It could be a puzzle, defeating enemies, whatever, but there would be a moon. I never got that sense of accomplishment when completing a complex and lengthy level wasn't memorable to me. I don't remember many of the powerups, bosses, worlds, etc. --- http://i.imgur.com/fsYJcFn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SZie71I.jpg Starcraft 2 Username = Gears ... Copied to Clipboard! |
