Sure it doesn't go into full gear right away but it starts off with a very compelling plot arc doing its job with amazing world building expositions all the way up to the coliseum tournament (still quite early in the game) where you are actively rooting for Belcoot to pull through, all the while mysteries are unfolding which happens to be ominous foreshadowing for things to come. Then the game goes into full gear. The beginning is only "slow" in comparison to what happens after. If anything the middle stretch is where things are a little "slow" but the various mini-arcs are all done very well and keeps you engaged throughout. Really like to emphasize that the slow or so called harsh opening is grossly exaggerrated for people who haven't played the game. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
