Honestly, having played the demo for Valkyrie Elysium and being saddened by it, I'm not expecting to be wowed by this demo either.. I accepted that Tri-Ace was going to be mostly low budget and dead when it was bought by a mobile game developer 7 years ago. I'm with you about all the Star Ocean games being great except for IF.
