Sinister Six was stopped by him but they left mortal wounds. So yea, they caused his death. He died while the villains were being arrested

He never met Morales, from what I remember. I don't think Morales even was introduced til after Peter's death.

Oh but later Morales traveled to the main marvel universe. He is like the only survivor from when his universe got erased. He is well acquainted now with main adult Peter Parker.
