I think this debate comes down to how much free time you have and how many games you plan on beating in that free time.

For me, there are often 2-3 month periods where there's no games that interest me. So a new game that only lasts 15 hours feels like a waste. I power through it, then I'm back to having to replay older games while I wait for the next new game that I want.

But if that game lasts 1-2 months, then there's less time of "no games" in between releases.

But if you're trying to play dozens of new games, or you have a mile long backlog, then I can see long have being more annoying than enjoyable.
