Drake makes albums that even his fans don't agree with. He wants it both ways. He wants to be able to not try as hard and just coast his later half of career but also wants to be praised to the highest level for it. I think some these rappers actually believe the lines like "I can be the best without even trying" and don't realize everyone held in high respect in the majority of circles actually are trying.
