I understand barbers who set appointments having higher prices. That's basically what they make an hour and they usually are paying for the building/chair they use as well.

I'm more annoyed that a chain barber shop that can be 'done' with your hair in 5-10 and have another butt in the seat, and spend just about that much time on them, is wanting to charge more than double what it used to be over the course of a decade for the same exact haircut.

Before he died, the barber I was going to would charge $30 for about 30 minutes and he'd actually spend most of that time cutting your hair, talking to you, etc.

But paying more than half that for a blazing fast slap job is just insane.

But I've also seen places that wanted to charge $26 for a buzz cut. Just a simple ass once around with no guard.

Idk, I just feel like I'm missing something justifying the cost of a haircut.
