The "pairs" system in its combat doesn't work very well, but otherwise it's a fantastic game. Its core concept of seeing a war between technologically distant societies that hate each other from every perspective and exploring how hate itself develops and can be overcome is really cool and pretty high-concept for a JRPG. 4 sucks.
