Ukraine has a population of almost 45 million people, making them one of the most populated countries in Europe. It's also the second largest country in Europe by land mass, with good portions of that land being really good, defensable landmarks like swamps and big ass rivers. Then you factor in that the Western worlds respone to the invasion was to flood Ukraine with modern military equipment, and all of a sudden, that Russian menace on your border with tanks from the mid-80's doesn't look quite as tough any more. --- Hey Trashcan Man!
