They're finally making an Assassins Creed in Feudal Japan. Doubt it'll be better than Ghost of Tsushima, though. At least it's being made by the team behind Odyssey and Syndicate, which I thought were some of the more fun ones. I even played the team's other big game, Immortals, and that was alright, too. Though all three share some lackluster writing. The writing's not boring, though. It's lively, keeps the pace going, and knows when to let the more somber moments have their time.

I just hope it has the classic loot system of Origins and Odyssey. Selling and dismantling excess gear was a good source of money and materials, and it helped keep me playing. Valhalla got rid of it and made every gear piece unique, like God of War 2018, but that resulted in a much more boring game that was extremely stingy. I wasn't compelled to try new gear much since the higher upgrade materials were very rare and difficult to find.

They also announced another AC game called Mirage, which is supposed to be more like the classic ones, set primarily in a big established city and more of an emphasis on stealth, instead of the more brawler style seen in the last two. I like that it's got one pre-set protagonist again, because when your character can be either gender, you have to water their personality down so their mannerisms don't lean too far in either direction.
