I'm not really digging the show so far. It's not bad, per se, but it doesn't seem to have a solid grasp on what it wants to be, as a show. I like the silliness, I like the fourth wall breaks (if anything I think there should be more of those), there are lots of little things the show does great. I love that the bar they go to is called "Legal Ease," I think that's a great joke, I like Jen's snarkiness, I like her paralegal/assistant, I think they have great rapport and their banter with each other feels very natural, I think it's funny that occasionally there will just be a random man popping in to do annoying man things, I thought the Megan Thee Stallion cameo was very funny, I just... I don't think it has an identity. It's not really an episodic show, but it's also not really building toward anything? There isn't any central conflict. There isn't even really internal conflict. For a show called "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" there hasn't been very much in the way of either She-Hulking or attorneying. For all the talking up Jen gets as being a great attorney, most of the cases she takes are relatively simple and barely require her to do anything to resolve them. In fact, the one single moment of what could be called "brilliant lawyering" we've seen on the show wasn't even done by her, it was done by her male co-worker who had to take the imposter fairy law-suit that she didn't want. Jen's brilliant legal maneuvering during that episode? Stalling for time until Wong showed up to testify, because she didn't take any sort of written (or recorded video) statement prior to the hearing.

The "slice of life" stuff is... alright? But I don't think, given the rest of what's going on in the background of the show, that it makes for a very compelling watch. There aren't really any stakes to anything that happens on the show, and anything that might represent any sort of wrinkle of conflict is quickly smoothed over (Blonsky is up for parole? It's fine, he's actually totally reformed and a cool guy. But would she be betraying Bruce by representing him? Nah, it's all good, Bruce is cool with it and they've totally resolved their problems. Oh shit Blonsky escaped prison? Nah, Wong forced him to leave because he wanted to fight him and he's actually more than happy to testify to that for the parole board).

Like I said, I don't think it's bad, and it certainly doesn't deserve any of the hate it's getting from the incel "anti-sjw" crowd, but I just feel like it could be so much better than it is.
