We got a macho culture where it seems weak to ask for help or go see a psychologist. Still better than lets say 50 years ago, but we still got a long way to go. Social nets that can capture some of these individuals before it is too late are seen as weak and a waste of money. We are filled with chemicals like PFOA and PFOS and drinking water from cheap lead pipes, these things messes us up just because some companies want to earn more money.
