In turn the Queen ordered her troops to violently suppress any and all dissent as fiercely as possible. False, the Queen cannot mobilize the armed forces. It must be voted on in Parliament. That is delegated to the Commander-in-Chief, who is the Prime Minister, and that situation was precipitated not by the Queen, but the Governor. (well, she can, technically, but she doesn't; and the Crown hasn't for over 150 years. The "real" power rests with the Parliament). NOW, all of this is not to say that she couldn't have put a stop to it, but that's another thing entirely.
