False advertising and outright lying in all the marketing and trailers has happened before, but not to the extent CD Project Red did with this game. The scale in which they knowingly marketed the product vs what ended up releasing is insane. Should I remind you that it released in a downright unplayable state on Xbox One and PS4? They only could sort of run on current gen consoles because they had significant spec upgrade and could power through all the blatant lack of testing.
