I mean I saw the whole thing. For one, it was in their vent channel which, lets face it, is kinda a dumpster fire in every discord server.

All that stuff you said right there was legitimately just Fulgur and to an extent Finana that was offensive, and he made his intentions clear that he wants to be the least-subbed NijiEN member and doesn't care about his image generally. Pomu said "it feels like all-out war right now lol." Finana basically just said it's probably because Luxiem and Noctyx are pulling a lot of money/close to JP livers. Shu just talked about how he applied wishing for Holostars EN and being disappointed, Millie said she was glad that Shu was here, and Vox was just being his usual sarcastic self with "hololive in shambles".

I noticed a little snip that didn't get talked about much before that was slightly before this, which was them talking about HoloCouncil's tech issues on debut, don't remember who, and someone--I think it was Millie, just called Shu their secret weapon/tech wizard.

Reading it as like... super-negativity, dunno, it doesn't carry that weight to me. A little competitive yeah. Fulgur def went a bit too hard, though, but it's pretty much... how he is, he said people were gonna be mad with Nijisanji for opening apps so fast again and again too though(which was actually true).

Pretty sure the war thing was mostly about the fans going at each others throats every time a new wave shows up for either end now, which just got worse with Iluna/Holostars(which oddly, those two waves seem kinda close with each other and it's mostly on the fans), not like "we have to exterminate them." But it's open to interpretation. Considering, well, I'll put this in spoilers, it's in regards to Pomu's past life: I think she talked about this once in NijiEN too albeit vaguely, but in her past life she mentioned she tried out for a 'certain idol company' that 'someone she respects greatly works for', got accepted, and chickened out because she didn't think she could actually keep up with them and, at the time, her upcoming medical issues.

It's really up to how you want to interpret it, honestly. Didn't feel hateful to me, or it's the mildest shit-talking in private that I've ever seen.

Edit: And yeah, Council got fucked by Youtube, especially Sana. Sana's sub count basically got Thanos snapped like three times, it was brutal as hell.
I have a feeling you're incredibly biased here, and I can respect it to an extent, but you really haven't addressed the fact that it was a single page. The thing is, we've never really seen Hololive ever have a shittalk, or "vent" as you call it, channel leaked at any point. We've seen it with the VShojos who cancelled a random guy for no reason, and we've seen it with NijiEN. If they keep it between an extremely private dms or even venting in real life, I find that a bit more acceptable than having a public channel dedicated to it, where there seems to be quite a lot of activity. I dunno what the intention for having such a channel even is, but it breeds negativity, and it shows the mindset they're operating under, behind their vtuber persona. It's one of those things where that kind of personality will show up under the curtains every now and then, like it does with Finana and her all too occasion twitter mishaps that come across as oddly aggressive towards the fans that keep her in the running.

You even have Mysta talking about completely unrelated things. It makes me think like this channel is a lot more general purpose than it seems on a surface level, and yeah like I said, a single fucking page with a pretty clear scroll bar that stretches way up. Does it paint Vox (who you seem to forgive for his comments for some reason), Finana, Pomu, and Fulgur in a much worse light? I mean yeah it should. You can't just assume that their war comment was something else and just forgive them entirely

I am also working under assumptions, but I don't think this matter is as opinion based as you seem to be putting it. If you're a fan, please understand that you're always gonna see things in a rosier light. I was really neutral on these guys up until I saw the screenshots. I'm not gonna hate on any talents that I have 0 proof of being able to hate.

But they're just talents in the end. Why the fuck are they even talking business like they're the ones responsible for half of their success? Vox can't even control his crazy Chinese fujo fanbase from harassing his own damn company lol. They're successful because Nijisanji hasn't pissed off China. I'm sorry to say to anybody in denial, but the Youtube statistics literally prove this because more than half of most of the Luxiem guys have subs from overseas in like Taiwan or whatever the fuck China uses for VPN. This is the kind of concrete info I'm operating under, not rosy interpretation of their clear and unprofessional shittalking

Why are guys like Fulgur, having produced a single fucking stream at that point, talking shit like he owns the goddamn area? He had like less than 25k subs at the time, and all of those subs were gained under the virtue that he's under Nijisanji.

This is the most damning of them all, but it also serves as a blueprint the talents seem to be operating under some misapprehension that they're the ones fully responsible for their success, when a lot of credit should go to Nijisanji, and fucking surprise, HololiveEN. Yeah, without HoloEN, Nijisanji is doing some weird shit like converting the India branch to EN because they're too scared to make the leap without a proof of concept. Doesn't sound like this is an all-out war. It sounds like they owe Hololive for even paving the way to begin with.

Watching NijisanjiEN basically means talents like Fulgur or anybody involved in that single page of unprofessional shittalk can just appear on the stream at any point, which makes it incredibly hard to watch all of NijisanjiEN in general. I also find the NijiEN's silent defending of him damning in a way, like they're treating like he was the only one unfortunate enough to be caught in the act or something.

Nijisanji management probably has all the rights to treat Hololive as a competitor because that's just logical as a company in a similar space (JP doesn't really owe Hololive, but EN owes nearly all of its current operational success to Hololive). But talents don't really gain from treating this like an "all-out war." To me, that comes across as something more personal than anything related to their own success. Also, I couldn't really give a rat's ass about the what-ifs. What, are we supposed to just take them at their word that they were some like finalists to being in Hololive? At the end of the day, they didn't make it, but if they were finalists, then they shouldn't have any problem simply getting in on a later wave.
