There seems to be something wrong with our universe in that, thus far, there has been no documented evidence of any kind of supernatural or paranormal phenomenon. No magic, afterlife, pagan gods, gene mutation resulting in so-called superpowers, eldritch entities. Not even something as benign as aliens or Sasquatch. So no, I don't think sea monsters exist even in some deep-sea abyss that will never see the light of day.
If we had encountered it, would we still consider it supernatural? Or conversely, things we consider non-supernatural, is that only because we know how it works?
