I know a 33rd degree mason, and based off the talks with him its a pretty weird group and stupidly secretive,

I almost joined a lodge when I was younger but you have to be religious in some form to join, it doesnt matter what religion or belief you subscribe to but you MUST believe in a supreme power and in the existence of the soul.

i took that as wanting gullible or easily deceived people tbh but its still pretty fucking weird especially for whats espoused as a union for stonemasons.
