I used to rely on people and be very outgoing, then I grew tired of them and stopped going out, then stopped talking to friends I had. I have one friend now and I like it this way.

I don't mind it as much as I might have thought I would, but tbf, it was mostly my decision.

it's sometimes boring/lonely having something you want to talk about and having no one to talk about it with irl. but people in my life were more concerned with their own interests, so conversations would drift towards that.

but besides that, it has also been kinda liberating - like, I don't feel like I have to be dragged into anyone's drama.

I've also found that if you go into a bar or diner solo, people often come and talk to you, so I still socialize in that way.
