Get the magnets on the hood of the car and/or the driver's side door.

Wait for the driver to come back, then freak out on them like cart narc does. You'd have to do it at a grocery store or something though where they aren't expected to be in there for a long time, otherwise you'd be waiting for hours.

Granted the downside is there really is no way to "rectify" the situation and force the offender to right their wrong aside from straight up leaving, which they were already doing. Or you'd have to get super lucky and catch someone double-parking in the act. Which as I write this out, might not be as hard as I think. Just monitor the lot for a bigass oversized truck or SUV because those are always shittily parked.
