Yeah. Nothing came of it and it was dismissed over a video of the girl going out to get pizza and not looking distraught/trying to escape. Which admittedly, I kind of thought was decent evidence at first. But that was before I knew she was an American in a different country and the police didn't didn't do any more investigating after that. At least, that's my information so far.

So, it's not hard to think of reasons why you wouldn't try to escape in a foreign country even if you felt unsafe where you currently were. Especially with a dude who admittedly is there because of relaxed laws working against you. That's a rock and a hard place situation. And when you're attitude is that openly aggressive about women, you shouldn't be given the benefit of the doubt anymore
