It's been a while, my memory is less solid than I thought.

That happens after Gohan gets defeated by Fat Buu and is training on the Kai planet. Piccolo told Buu there are plenty of people on Earth he can kill for his amusement while he is waiting for Gotenks to finish training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

He pretty much says aight and kills everyone on earth with that attack. Then Piccolo takes the long way to take him to Gotenks to stall as long as possible. They get in there, Gotenks pretends he doesnt have enough strength to challenge Buu so Piccolo blows up the time chamber.

Buu gets mad and screams which opens a portal back to earth. After that, I dont remember if Gotenks fought Buu first or Gohan showed up
