Topic	When does Anakin become Darth Vader? Ep III spoilers
TheUmbersun 08/20/22 4:17:32 PM #36:	Interesting how even after being named "Vader" by Palpatine, he still responds to Padme (and even Obi-Wan) calling him "Anakin". At no point does he reject the name of Anakin, showing he hasn't fully embraced his new identity (yet). It isn't until later after Padme dies, he gets defeated and put in his suit that he finally renounces his former identity, hence the "Anakin is gone.
