| ultimate_reaver 08/19/22 5:24:13 PM #11: | A lot of people who make a show of how much empathy they lack for the deaths of people in situation like this are putting on a front partly because they feel that they should due to social pressure and partly because they are usually detached from the situation in all but the most tenuous of ways. It's just meaningless noise from a people who are conditioned to react to everything like they're reading a book or watching a movie until it actually comes close enough to home to make it hurt. During covid it was difficult for me to watch but I've mostly come to terms that it's rarely malice and usually closer to just childishness --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
