Geez

Between hearing about all this and recently watching Dopesick, its all just so sickening how many ways the folks in your area get preyed on by the rich and powerful.
I'm pretty pro-environment, but it's still worth noting that in areas as poor as the one I live in, the loss of coal mining is particularly devastating. The rich are mostly uninterested in investing here at all aside from stripping the natural resources away, and as a consequence, the poverty is worse than ever. Mining jobs were some of the few non minimum wage jobs here that actually paid decently, so without them... the area doesn't really have any future. A lot of the people will never recover from flood damage because there's simply no money for it.
