I only ever saw his late 90s stuff but they put all the old stuff online. I also cant believe him and conan were going back and forth on each others shows so often. Terri Garr is great (you wanna take a shower?), just constant ball busting between the two. Eddie Murphy is the funnies and funnest dude ever. Night Light and his other sketches were fantastic.

and as for the savageness of this guy. There was this lady Joan Collins. She goes on the Letterman cbs show and Letterman decides to show her in a nude scene from a movie. Seemed pretty uncomfortable. Crowd goes wild, it was wonderful. So days or weeks go by and Joan goes on Conan. The two are having a boring conversation and HOLY SHIT David Letterman just walks in to Conans studio. Doesnt say a word to anyone and immediately starts harassing Joan over a newspaper article where she said she was mad. Then he just leaves. It was insane. I completely see now why people didnt like letterman, he was mean.
