Honestly I've noticed that "cancelling people" doesn't seem to do much of anything. The only times it does is if that person has done things that are so awful it warrants serious prison time, the public is rightfully disgusted by it, their popularity takes a huge dive, and companies don't want to do business with that person anymore, and that's not cancelling at all. At least not in the way cancel culture sees it.
