Not a cat, but Monday, my mom, my oldest sister and I took our moms oldest dog Lola (16-17 years old) to the vet for advice, because Lola had been in failing health since February (developed Cushings Disease) and the vet agreed that since the medication she had been on wasnt helping, and as there is no cure for the disease, that it was best to have her put down. I will never forget that when I put Lola on the exam table so the vet could take her to the back to prep the IV, Lola walked over and put her head between my arm and chest, as if to say I love you, goodbye. The vet came back with Lola and Mom held Lola as the vet administered the drugs. Lola had her three favorite people with her as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
