The Secret of Kells

I feel I may have done The House (2022) dirty, but that's the only isolated clip (any longer than 30 seconds) that I could find. There are a few more cases of that with the newer films especially (Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe comes to mind). Anyways, go watch The House (2022); reminds me of The Shivering Truth with a much lighter skip about it.

Unfortunately for Robin--another movie I adore--there's no beating the landmark entry in the Irish Folklore trilogy. It takes great inspiration from Richard Williams' troubled masterpiece The Thief and the Cobbler, (which is on the bill for tomorrow, incidentally) which can be observed in its 'living mural' style of presentation. If ever you're having second thoughts about something you've created, remind yourself that Secret of Kells had been in development since at least 1999, and wouldn't hit theaters until a decade later. This concept reel highlights those early stages of development, showing a very different movie than the one we got:
