Agreed. The game has some real character to it and I think the Capital itself was really well done. The locations in New Vegas are incredibly bland for what they are sans that place where you meet Lily.

I applaud the game for trying to make The Strip seem lively but its a total waste when you consider everything outside of it is incredibly sparse and goes back to a lonely wasteland as soon as you step outside.. even the inside felt dead

I remember rushing to go get Oblivion with guns and spending all day getting as far as I could.. when they announced New Vegas I got the collectors edition with the deck of cards and poker chips lol. It didnt really grab me as hard as I thought it would.. I remember getting to The Strip and being completely disappointed with the highlight being those bounty missions for the NCR right outside of The Strip
